The wait is almost over: St. Louis favorite World’s Fair Donuts reopens Wed., Jan. 15.
The donut shop has been closed since this summer when Peggy Clanton, who owned the shop with her husband, Terry, suffered an injury from a fall. This fall, Jason Bockman, owner of Strange Donuts, stepped in and purchased the classic donut shop.
Bockman has known the family for years and promises that, minus a few repairs, the donut shop will stay the same. The recipes and atmosphere will be just as they were before – Bockman says the only thing they won’t be able to replicate is how sweet Peggy and Terry were.
“We’ll do our best,” he previously told Feast.
World’s Fair Donuts new hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 6am to 2pm.
