Mardi Gras takes over St. Louis this weekend, but you can also celebrate National Margarita Day or meet Barclay, the Blues pup.

Friday

Barclay in the Bierhall at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company

“This is your chance to meet the Stanley PUP! Barclay, the Blues assistance dog in-training, is coming to the Grove Bierhall Friday, Feb. 21st! Get your photo taken with Barclay and learn about Duo Dogs’ mission to provide highly skilled assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained therapy teams to serve the community. Stick around to watch the Blues take on Dallas on the big screen, and enjoy UCBC bier specials & raffle giveaways all night long! Barclay’s time will be limited for photos. For a suggested donation of $10 (or more), you can reserve a spot using the link below, which includes a 4 x 6 printed photo of you (and up to 4 friends) with your favorite four-legged Blues pup. All donations will benefit Duo Dogs Inc. UCBC is also donating a portion of beer sales to benefit Duo Dogs, just like Barclay!” From 5:30 to 10pm.

Beers, Bites & Beads at The Biergarten

“Hosted by our Head Chef and one of our Brewing Ambassadors. You will take a journey through four different brands with four completely different taste profiles accompanied by a specially made four-course meal.” Tickets are $66. From 6:30 to 8:30pm.

4th Annual Al Rubin Memorial Crawfish Boil at Narwhal’s Crafted

“Join us this Friday at Midtown for the 4th Annual Al Rubin Memorial Crawfish Boil! Enjoy a taste of New Orleans ($30 all you can EAT) from Cajun Boil Company along with several Mardi Gras inspired frozen cocktails like Hurricane Tony and Elderflower Gin Fizz. All profits from the boil will be donated to prostate cancer research in honor of Al Rubin. He started this tradition at Narwhal’s in 2017 and lost his battle with prostate cancer in 2018. We carry on the tradition in his name. We’re looking forward to an amazing Mardi Gras weekend!”

Saturday

Soulard Mardi Gras 2020

“The Bud Light Grand Parade is the crown jewel of the Soulard Mardi Gras season and is the biggest parade outside of the Big Easy. It begins at Busch Stadium and proceeds through the streets of Downtown South and Soulard to the place where your beer was born: Anheuser-Busch Brewery. This year’s theme is The Blues – Music, Hockey, Skies, Seas and more! Help us celebrate over a century of this St. Louis Institution as krewes ride nearly 100 floats that bring the theme to life and throw over 10,000,000 strands of beads to the throngs of Mardi Gras revelers lining the parade route. Hang out at the Bud Light Party Tent or the Blues Alumni Experience Tent all Mardi Gras day for beer, beats & booze.” Parade starts at 11am. Festivities continue all day (and night).
